I have a ton of  series that I have started and need to finish! This challenge is the perfect me! There are a lot of books coming out this year so I will be able to finish a lot of my series.  There is also a lot of series I own that I have never started.  I don’t know if I will do any rereads because I have so much to get through but we will see.  If I do it will only be semi-serious.  My info and updates can be found on my Challenges and other Goodies page.

Bout of Books 9.0: Introduce Someone to Your Favorite Genre

Bout of Books 9.0: Introduce Someone to Your Favorite Genre

This is for doing the Dewey challenge.   Basically you introduce people to genres you like the most.  My favorite genre is science-fiction. Here are some of my favorites:

A Long, Long Sleep (Rosalinda Fitzroy #1)

by Anna Sheehan (Goodreads Author)
It should have been a short suspended-animation sleep. But this time Rose wakes up to find her past is long gone — and her future full of peril.

Rosalinda Fitzroy has been asleep for sixty-two years when she is woken by a kiss. Locked away in the chemically induced slumber of a stasis tube in a forgotten subbasement, sixteen-year-old Rose slept straight through the Dark Times that killed millions and utterly changed the world she knew. Now, her parents and her first love are long gone, and Rose — hailed upon her awakening as the long-lost heir to an interplanetary empire — is thrust alone into a future in which she is viewed as either a freak or a threat. Desperate to put the past behind her and adapt to her new world, Rose finds herself drawn to the boy who kissed her awake, hoping that he can help her to start fresh. But when a deadly danger jeopardizes her fragile new existence, Rose must face the ghosts of her past with open eyes — or be left without any future at all.

The Host (The Host #1)

Melanie Stryder refuses to fade away. The earth has been invaded by a species that take over the minds of human hosts while leaving their bodies intact. Wanderer, the invading “soul” who has been given Melanie’s body, didn’t expect to find its former tenant refusing to relinquish possession of her mind.As Melanie fills Wanderer’s thoughts with visions of Jared, a human who still lives in hiding, Wanderer begins to yearn for a man she’s never met. Reluctant allies, Wanderer and Melanie set off to search for the man they both love.

Featuring one of the most unusual love triangles in literature, THE HOST is a riveting and unforgettable novel about the persistence of love and the essence of what it means to be human
