My Thoughts:

Wow!  This book was just WOW! I can’t begin to do this book justice.  This book had the shock factor thru out it. I didn’t see some of the things coming in this book.  I really enjoyed the Selection but The Elite was just fantastic.  I was a little upset with America because of her lack of forth-rightness in this book.  She seemed to change once she realized her feelings for Maxon in this book.  She was more cautious which made her jump to conclusions more.  I was glad to see her get her fire back and speak her mind.

I wasn’t surprised by the control the king had but I was by his violence.  I am more in love with Maxon’s character now more than I was before.  His need to make things better for his people and knowing how to achieve that just made him so much more special in my eyes.  The brief insights to how the kingdom is ran and why the rebels are entering the castle has me more intrigued than ever.

I think everyone should give this series a try.  I think almost everyone will end up a fan of the series.  It has love, romance, political intrigue and a dystopian society.   I know I was more than pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoy it and can’t wait to get my hands on the final book.
