My Thouths:

This is the first book that I have ever read didn’t make them horrible monsters.  I could almost see this as true because she surrounds this book with realism along with the fantasy.  I just fell in love with this book and the characters.

My favorite character is probably Mat.  I just loved him as the caring older brother.  Then there is Finn and his strong beliefs and his warrior skills.  Then you had Wendy who was a complete outsider.  I love how strong a character she is.  She has this very tragic parentage but she is still very grateful for the family and friends she does have.  I found her to be a very believable character.

I love Disney fairy tales and this has a similar feel to it.    You get the whole stolen princess who comes home type feel but then you have this huge twist.  First the home-coming might not be so happily ever after, the wicked stepmother may not have been so crazy and the prince might not be a prince at all.  This is just so very good and I think it would appeal to a wide range of readers.  I think any one looking for uniquely written story will a lot of fairy tale-ish type eliminates will love this book.
