Most high school sports teams have rivalries with other schools. At Hamilton High, it’s a civil war: the football team versus the soccer team. And for her part,Lissa is sick of it. Her quarterback boyfriend, Randy, is always ditching her to go pick a fight with the soccer team or to prank their locker room. And on three separate occasions Randy’s car has been egged while he and Lissa were inside, making out. She is done competing with a bunch of sweaty boys for her own boyfriend’s attentionThen Lissa decides to end the rivalry once and for all: She and the other players’ girlfriends go on a hookup strike. The boys won’t get any action from them until the football and soccer teams make peace. What they don’t count on is a new sort of rivalry: an impossible girls-against-boys showdown that hinges on who will cave to their libidos first. But what Lissa never sees coming is her own sexual tension with the leader of the boys, Cash Sterling…
This Book Contains:  Sex, Romance, Humor and Self-awareness.
This book was just amazing fun!  I loved it and couldn’t seem to put it down and yes I know it is contemporary.  I seem to be on a contemporary kick and Kody is definitely giving me what I want.  This is just one of those books that you sit and think wow this would make a great movie!   Its full of humor and still has that very serious undertone.  The romance is a slow build and that to me is the best kind.
I really like how Lissa decides to take a stand against the school rivalry bull-crap.  Although this turns into much more than she ever bargained for.  I loved how it empowered the girls and had them figuring out what they really wanted in a relationship.  I also liked how it brought them closer together as a group and with the boys in the end.
This book hit a lot of chords with me not only as a feel good type of read but also as an inspirational one.  I feel this book can teach girls a lot about themselves.  It really ask a lot of hard questions such as who you are,  who do you want to be and what are you willing to give up.  Over all I thought this was just fantastic and I cant wait to read more by Kody Keplinger.
