Logan’s sudden death leaves Aura devastated. He’s gone.
Well, sort of.
Like everyone born after the Shift, Aura can see and hear ghosts. This mysterious ability has always been annoying, and Aura had wanted nothing more than to figure out why the Shift happened so she can undo it. But not with Logan’s violet-hued spirit still hanging around. Because dead Logan is almost as real as ever. Almost.
It doesn’t help that Aura’s new friend Zachary is so understanding—and so very alive. His support means more to Aura than she cares to admit.
As Aura’s relationships with the dead and the living grow ever complicated, so do her feelings for Logan and Zachary. Each holds a piece of Aura’s heart…and clues to the secret of the Shift.
This Book Contains: Drinking, Sex, Boy Drama, Ghosts, Death, Music and Romance.
To be honest I am not a big ghost fan so this book took me by complete surprise. I found myself torn between the ghost and the living love interest which was a complete shock to me. I could not believe that I was into this book as much as I was. I love the world building that took place in this book. I found myself believing in the shift and wondering if the shadows around me were ghosts.
Aura as female lead is very well-developed. She has a very strong personality that you can’t seem to get enough of. I found myself thinking how cool of a friend this character would be. I could also feel her pain as she struggled to get her emotions straight with her boyfriends death and his subsequent ghostly presence. As she struggles with whether to get him to move or stay with her, she then has the added drama of figuring out her feeling for the sexy new Scottish guy who she can’t seem to stay away from.
This book has some serious revelation which only lead to many more question. I just could not put it down, yeah it was that good. I am seriously looking forward to the next book. I can’t wait to see where this story is going to take us and hopefully get some answers that were left unanswered from this book.
