Meghan Chase has a secret destiny; one she could never have imagined.
Something has always felt slightly off in Meghan’s life, ever since her father disappeared before her eyes when she was six. She has never quite fit in at school or at home.
When a dark stranger begins watching her from afar, and her prankster best friend becomes strangely protective of her, Meghan senses that everything she’s known is about to change. But she could never have guessed the truth – that she is the daughter of a mythical faery king and is a pawn in a deadly war. Now Meghan will learn just how far she’ll go to save someone she cares about, to stop a mysterious evil no faery creature dare face; and to find love with a young prince who might rather see her dead than let her touch his icy heart.

THIS BOOK CONTAINS:  Violence, Magic , Deception and Romance.

The Plot:

This is a book about Meghan Chase who has always thought that she is just a normal everyday girl.  Neglected by her mother and forgotten by her stepfather she lives every day just wishing from something to change.  Until one day everything does and she is thrown into a real life fantasy.  She gets to be what every little girl dreams of being and that is a real life princess.  Although that is the last thing she wants, all she wants is to find her brother and return home.

The Characters:

You have Meghan who is a very strong female lead and will stop at nothing to do what she feels is right.  She also will do anything to protect the ones she loves.  Which some see as her greatest weakness but to her it is her greatest strength. You have Robbie or Puck as he is better known by.  He is a fairy sent to watch over and protect Meghan.  You have Grim who is a cat that helps Meghan though out the story.  You have Oberon who is the faery king and Meghan’s true father. You have Queen Titania who would love to see Meghan die.  You have Queen Mab who is the Queen of the Unseelie court and would like to use Meghan against King Oberon.   Lastly you have the winter princes Ash who may or may not be a threat to Meghan but wants to please his mother Queen Mab.

My Thought:

I have read many fairy stories and this one just wasnt all that unique to me.  It was very slow until maybe half way through the book when the action finally started to pick up.  This book was very well written and I feel that the story has a lot of potential but this book was just not all that impressive.  After all the reviews of this book I just expected more and was a little let down.  I did enjoy the ending and hope that the next book will be more to my liking.  I don’t want to discourage anyone from reading the series because apparently I am in the minority about how great this book is.  Most people feel that this is a fantastic read so, by all means read this book and let me know what you think.
