This Book Contains:  Angels, Violence, Hell Hounds, Death, Romance and Love Triangle.

Halflings are half human and half angels that are sworn to serve on the side of god in hopes that they will some day earn salvation.   Until then they are stuck  in the middle and can’t really be either.  Nikki is the girl that they are sent to protect from the evil forces that are out to get her.   Not really sure why the forces of evil want Nikki the boys must try to protect her and figure out how to stop them so they can continue on to their next mission.

Nikki is the main character and is being chased my Hell hounds as the book opens and the drama continues from there.  Nikki is supposed to be this tough girl with a martial arts background but sometimes she is a little unsure of herself.  Then you have the Halflings which are Mace, Vine and Raven.  Mace the goodie, goodie of the trio of halflings.  He develops feelings for NIkki but knows it can’t go anywhere, so he fights it.  You have Raven who is fighting to not turn bad and he develops feelings for Nikki.  Last you have Vine who is and new to the trio but he is extremely skilled and enjoys the missions.  You have some other characters such as Will who is in charge of the trio and Damon Vessler who say he is Nikki’s godfather but she has never met him before now.  Damon may have evil intention were Nikki is concerned.

Well over all I enjoyed this book and I am looking forward to reading the next one in the series.  I did however feel at times that this book was rushed.  I also, noticed at times that the author jumped scenes without any notice.  Which made me have to go back and read a couple of paragraphs before just to make sure I didn’t miss something.  I really liked Nikki because at first she is supposed to be this tough motorcycle riding black belt in karate type.  But, then you see her at different points that show her more vulnerable side and that just makes her more real to me.  As I said before I really enjoyed this book even with some of the issues I have with it.  I think it is a really good debut novel and I hope that the series will get even better as it continues.
